In the past few days, we have seen several emails from someone pretending to be Pastor Vida. These emails come from email addresses lik pastor123@gmail.com or similar. The person will request gift cards to Amazon or iTunes to be emailed to them. The requests are always urgent, with instructions to not to call them as they're in a meeting.
Please note that Pastor Vida--or anyone else from the church office--will never request gift cards over email. These requests are ALWAYS a SCAM. If you are not sure about the legitimacy of an email you receive, feel free to contact Pastor VidA or the church office.
Also, when you are unsure about the identity of the sender, always check the email address to make sure it corresponds to Pastor Vida's -
pastorgd@shaw.ca. If it does not - the email is NOT legitimate but from a scammer.
Unfortunately we have no way to stop emails like these.
