Open Letter in Support of Dr. Henry and Minister Dix

From our Interim Pastor:

Together with 37 pastors of our Synod and ecumenical partners I have signed an open letter in support of our public health officials, Dr. Bonnie Henry and Minister Adrian Dix.

As the letter states, we are deeply grateful for their integrity and leadership and thought it was important to make our voice known, especially when the words and actions of faith leaders and churches which defy the public health orders get amplified in the media. 

Decisions made in this time of Public Health Emergency will never please everyone. But we believe this is a time when the scale balancing our responsibilities and rights as citizens should be tipping in favor of protecting the common good rather than promoting individual rights.
