The LWF 2023 Assembly, September 13-19 

The 2023 Lutheran World Federation (LWF) Assembly is taking place September 13 to 19in Krakow, Poland. The theme for this Thirteenth LWF Assembly is One Body, One Spirit, One Hope which reminds us that in a fragmented world, we are called to unity in the one body of Christ. The theme is based from Ephesians 4:4 (NRSV): "There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling."

Please lift up in your prayers the 2023 Assembly which also includes the delegation from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC). In addition to being responsible for the LWF Constitution, the Assembly gives general direction to the work of the LWF, elects the President and Council, and acts on the reports of the President, the General Secretary and Chair of the Finance Committee. The Assembly itself is a rich program of worship, plenary sessions, visits, LWF market place and the production of Assembly outcomes, statements and messages.
